Youth Concussions
Description:
'Youth Concussions' details the story of Diana Coyne; a Westport, Connecticut mother who inspired concussion reform in youth sports in her state. Diana's son Chris suffered a concussion while playing in training camp at Yale University. Although she believed this to be his first, it was his sixth. This led to her joining the P.C.C. (Parent's Concussion Coalition) an organization of mothers who experienced similar circumstances. However, the changes brought on by this legislation have affected the way youth coaches like Daniel Hand coach Steve Filippone are allowed to interact with their players. In this video we examine with new concussion education whether every day people are deterred from allowing their children to play football.
